The Saint Cecilia Chorale is comprised of choral
artists (professional and volunteer) associated with various parishes in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. It was founded
in 1996, by Christian Marcoe, to perform the music for the liturgy on the Feast of the Presentation of Christ in the Temple.
Since its founding, The Chorale has appeared
in numerous sacred concerts and liturgies, performing at various venues around the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and extensively
throughout Europe. The Chorale went on a millennial tour of Great Britain in 2000, appearing at the St. Giles,
the Scottish National Cathedral, and at the Warwick-Leamington Music Festival. In 2005, The Chorale undertook a triumphant
concert tour of Italy, being one of the first contingents from the Archdiocese to be presented to His Holiness Benedict XVI,
singing in the papal audience. The Chorale also presented concerts to the cities of Rome, Florence, and Trevi, and sang
liturgies in St. Peter’s Basilica, Rome and St. Mark’s Basilica, Venice.
This site is also home for the Music Ministry
and Choirs (Santa Margarita, Saint Cecilia, Simbayanan, Children's Concert Chorus, and Schola Cantorum) of Holy Family Catholic
Community, Glendale, California.
